IFSI
School of Nursing
IFSI
School of Nursing provides nursing education
since 1884 and nursing auxiliary education
since 1967.
Following the ideas of Florence Nightingale humanist
principles, IFSI School of Nursing tends to develop
a holistic care of people. The name of Florence
Nightingale was given in 1918 in memory of this
woman who allows the nursing care to reach a
professional dimension.
Today,
IFSI School of Nursing offers: |
|
- Initial
professional educations, alternately: preparation
of the State nursing diploma and the
professional nursing auxiliary diploma.
- Continuing
education sessions centred on the education
needs of the health professionals.
IFSI
School of Nursing develops educational methods
focused on the student: the alternate use
of
theory and practice becomes a source of questioning,
analysis
and exchange; a professional thinking is
expected and encouraged. These methods aim to
help the
student to integrate the nursing values and practices
as
well as to construct his/her knowledge and
professional identity.

It is meant for the inhabitants of the neighbourhood,
as well as for the staff of the MSPB BAGATELLE.

people to fight against loneliness.
Health
Centre
Open since 1876 in order to answer the care needs of the neighbourhood, the
Health Centre has evolved according to the sanitary needs of the population.
It is still focused on its educational and preventive vocation with a particular
interest in the family. Its activity represents around 10 000 consultations
and interviews per year. Its action deals with the four following domains of
activity: maternity/childhood, planning centre, prevention and specialities.
Childcare
Centre
It is the most recent structure of the Social
Centre, created in September 1997. The Childcare
Centre works in collaboration with the city
of Talence
and Bègles and welcomes children from 10 weeks old to 3 years old.
